About

The Community Manifesto is a piece of work which Dan has been building for over 15 years and is now close to being shared.

The philosophy behind this piece of work is that if you want to change the world you need to think big enough but also be sure you start small enough. The world is made up of billions of daily interactions between people. These interactions are influenced by our feelings and our unmet needs. Drawing on the work of Abraham Maslow, Marshall Rosenberg and the co-operative movement, this piece of writing will seek to highlight and explore something overlooked in what influences the success of communities. Expect further news towards the end of 2015.

The focus is on stories, experiences and practical approaches to generating change rather than dwelling on the challenges, and causes of the problems currently facing the United Kingdom and the world. There are currently a breadth of inspiring organisations, incredible role models and exciting stories of communities coming together to tackle shared needs and common goals.
